Chris Warren
Having worked in libraries for seventeen years, Chris Warren is not a stranger to the art of the digital shuffle. He is currently Library Director of the Dothan Houston County Library System in southeast Alabama. Warren holds a master’s degree in music, science, and technology from Stanford University and a doctorate in music composition from University of California, San Diego.
In addition to his library duties, Warren is the brains behind the new Omni Echo, a sound augmented reality experience. Among other things, Omni Echo uses augmented reality to simulate sound encodings on an interactive touchscreen. The company also develops unique audio effects for Ableton Live.
Warren is also a member of the digital music composition faculty at San Diego State University. He has published articles on the early modern literature and other digital humanities related topics. His research in acoustic measurement produced the EchoThief Impulse Response Library.
